Can you ID my plant?

I've had it for three years. It has dark green shiny leaves, and gets little orange pitcher shaped flowers on it year round. The "stems" are woody at the soil and grow very long. These pictures might not be the greatest but hoping someone can ID it. I'd love to know more, especially if it is poisonous to new puppies and cats.

It looked familiar as soon as I saw it but, the name escaped me.

Alas a friend gave me the name: Lipstick plant other wise known as Aeschynanthus species
