Things to look out for for my two plants

Hello,
Well as some of you know who already helped me with lighting needs I will have soon a meyers lemon, and Sambac Jasmine. I did my research and it seems that there are alot of information, and specially with people having dropped leaves on the meyers lemon.
I know that humidity is very important(avg 30-60 percent). and temp around 55-60. But how about the soil? should both plants have light or heavy soil? maybe adding peats or sand...
is it better to mist the plants daily or bring a humidifier? how about fertilzers, every 3-6 months?
any specific articles I should look at?
sorry for the many questions

Thanks
MHB :):)

A light soil that drains well is best. Here's some helpful info on growing citrus in containers.
