Help identify brown stuff on soil of chocolate mint

I'm extremely new, so pardon if this is a no brainer....

I noticed this brown stuff on top of the soil in potted chocolate mint plant, I think it is a fungus?
What is it?
Should I be worried and so, what should I do?
TIA
Jim

Hi Jim,

They are teeny, tiny mushrooms. Not really an issue. You can scape them off if you don't like the look. They will release spores and new ones will grow. If you mint is not in full sun gradually move it to a more sunny spot. also reduce your watering. Fungus needs a cool moist environment to flourish.

Mint is nearly bullet proof so don't lose any sleep over this. More sun, less water and the fungus will go away.

Good luck
