These little flies ( don't know what to call them) are over my strawberry plants ..... not doing any harm but should I be concerned? What are they and if I should get rid of them, how would I do that??

Don't water so much. They come around because the soil is always soggy and you have some decomposing organic matter in the pot growing the fungi which the gnats feed on.
