Absolutely lovely!! But your "Milkweed Blooms" pic is misidentified. The pic you're showing is actually of a weed sometimes called "Redshank" (aka Persicaria maculosa/Polygonum persicaria, I believe).

Hey - many of the wildflower/weeds are outstanding. It's just a matter of "suggesting" to them that they need to grow where we want them to grow, as well as not become bullies.
I've kept a patch of Common Milkweed going for several years now. Not because they're outstanding in any way, but simply because the Monarch butterfly larvae are so dependent on them, & they're really suffering from habitat loss these days.

I agree with you, we also keep bees and know all about the scarcity of some species of insects in the garden! I notice our bees love all our flowers and also our bees enjoy pollinating! It is super cool. We usually just leave them and check the hive once a year when we take a few frames out,. It gives us usually 4 jars of honey for family around Christmas time. We don't really like to bother our bees, just let them do thier thing, help keep them warm in the winter, and make sure they have lots of honey and water to live on. It's funny that you mention butterflies having a hard time, we've seen a lot of butterflies and hummingbirds so far this spring. Must be the Honey suckle and other flowers like our foxgloves etc..Hey if you ever want to do a seed exchange I'd love to! Have some flower seeds left and a few pepper seeds kicking around
