I picked up one of these small palms at local chain supply store. Good for about 3 weeks and now it seems to be drying up / dying off? Any help is appreciated, worst case I have to purchase a new one. If I do, I would like to learn how to avoid purchasing a third - despite what Lowes would prefer
Here is a pic

It's a temporary thing, I had a pot for it but it broke. It is still in its planter from purchase that is placed within a glass container. I have just re-potted it in a larger temporary planter that will bio degrade over time if planted. I know I am doing something incorrect, but what I do not know.

It could be a lot of things! Judging solely from the picture, it looks like it's dried out or maybe got a sunburn! My palms do best in indirect light, although I've read many different things about lighting requirements for these guys. My palm is only in direct light for about an hour a day in the window in which he sits. So maybe try decreasing the amount of light if it's basking in the sun a lot throughout the day. Give some more detail about how you are caring for this one: how much light it gets, what direction your window faces, how much you're watering, etc.
