Should I start harvesting?

I planted leaf lettuce to be a cut and come again type plant....it is 4 weeks into growth, should I start harvesting some of the leaves?

I agree -- I think you could harvest in alternating strips across the box. This way, you'll get these "baby" greens but will also have chance to harvest when they are a little bigger. And they will re-grow in alternating strips.

To get larger heads it would have been better to have spaced them farther apart like 8-10 inches, but if you are only interested in baby greens that still looks nice.

Yup - for cut-&-come-again, start harvesting now. And if you have another container, do a resowing to keep those nice salad lettuces coming.
