natural garden pest repellents

Does anybody know some effective NATURAL garden pest repellents? I have started a herb garden on my balcony, and my herbs are absolutely thriving, however, my basil plant has recently been attacked by something very hungry. I want to keep my garden organic, does anyone have any ideas on how I can eliminate my basil enemy?

Hi Jules, welcome to the Helpful Gardener Forum! :)

Neem Oil. It works by making plants unpalatable to insects that feed on them. It doesn't affect predatory insects like ladybugs because it has to be ingested. It also works as a fungicide.

Here's a good thread about it.

It's great that you're keeping your herb garden organic.
