White spots on Parlour Palm.

One of my Parlour Palms has these small white spots all over the leaves. They can not be rubbed off. Does anyone know what's causing this? The plant is in a bright in-direct spot several feet away from a south facing window where it only gets sun for maybe one hour a day in the afternoon. From far away it looks dusty but nothing to be wiped off.

The stippling looks like thrip damage. Thrips are hard to see, so I usually tell by the damage. Hold a sheet of white pepper under the leaves and tap. If you see what looks like paprika on the paper it is probably thrips. The underside of the leaf will feel slightly rougher than normal.
