I got this small dumbcane plant from my neighbor, and it was in very soggy soil, so I replanted it in drier soil but there are three leaves on it, and two are drooping. They were drooping when she gave it to us, the other leave seems to be doing just fine, I watered it like they said, I held it over the bathroom sink and watered it until the water started to come out the hole in the container. It looks healthy and everything except those two leaves, should I cut them off or just leave them be? I never had a plant like this before, could use some advice. Thanks in advance.

I moved the dumbcane plant and watered it the way it is supposed to be watered, it has rewarded me with a new leaf, I guess it likes it where it is so I will leave it there. Here is an updated photo of it.

Update: The leaves are not drooping and they are growing quite well. I have a question, is it alright for the plant if I put it under the 2 ft. flourescent lamp that my hubby gave me? I don't want to screw things up and I thought maybe it would grow bigger if I put it there. Here is what it looks like now, any advice would be helpful.

It should be fine. Dumb cane is a pretty forgiving plant. Since it is leaning you might want to turn it so that it grows straighter. The light is probably coming from the side instead of from above.

thanks imafan26, it was in pretty bad shape when I got it and now it looks good, I just wish I knew how to get it to grow bigger. Does that take time? You know I have no patience when it comes to my flowers.

Yes, time! It looks healthier and doing well. It will grow at its own pace. You don't do it any favors if you try to force that.
