Help!! My containers keep falling over

I live in an apartment, so I can't plant a garden in the ground. Instead I've planted a few windowboxes and two flower pots on my balcony. I planted a tomato plant and a cucumber plant in the flower pots, and used tomato cages for both. They are both growing quite big, and the cucumber has actually grown to the top of the tomato cage. The only problem is that whenever we get a moderate wind, the cucumber falls over! (The tomato fell over once too, but doesn't seem to be a consistent problem.) Several on the leaves have been damaged, and most recently one of the larger cucumber fruits was also damaged. Has anyone else had this problem? I thought about maybe tying the cage to something, but there really isn't anything to tie it to. The only other thing I can think of would be maybe placing a sandbag or two around the bottom of the flowerpot. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice?

I think your sandbag idea is your best bet!
