Damage on new leaves of pothos

New growth on my pothos has been getting damaged, usually while the leaves are still furled. I'm assuming it's probably insect damage, but I haven't seen any bugs. The arrowhead plant next to the pothos has been showing a little of the same problem. Leaves that are already open seem to be all right. Sorry for the out-of-focus photos (taken by my old flip phone), but can anyone hazard a guess as to what is causing this and what to do about it?
