help with bean plants

I was wondering if I could get some advice for my bean plants.

I am a total newbie to container gardening. I chose beans because I read they are easy to grow. I started the seedlings in May. I live in South Florida. They sprouted up quick and seemed healthy for the first month.

Now they have some holes in the leaves. I often see little bugs on the plants that seem like fruit flies. I am not sure what to do. I tried looking it up in a book about organic pest control and I just get confused because there is nothing specific.

Also the leaves have light yellowing spots. From the pictures in the book, I almost thought it looked like blight, but it's yellow and not white. So over all I am just confused.

It would help if you post a picture so we can see it.

A lot of things eat beans. Japanese beetles love them.

Beans get rust, and mildew especially if the leaves are wet or they are closely planted.

What kind of beans do you have? Are they bush or vining beans?

The package says garden contender bush beans. This is my first attempt at gardening. Worth noting: I live in South Florida and it has been rainy lately.
