Mysterious plant grew where a Venus Flytrap died?

Hi everybody,

A really strange plant has grown in a pot of mine where there used to be a Venus Flytrap. It has small, hard purple leaves and stems and it seems to like to trail. Can anyone please identify this strange plant?

Many thanks. Image

Looks like a wandering Jew. Wonder how it got there? In any case, they are fast growers!

Thanks! The funniest thing is - I think the colour is either my fault or the compost. Presumably the compost would be something peaty/boggy for the Venus Flytrap. I don't know how it got there - it grew from a seed which was either in the compost or something from the plant shop. But, about the colour - a friend took a branch to Denmark where it is growing well but is green. I will try to attach an image of it...I know I should re-pot it. Still no clue waht it is, but perhaps the Wandering Jew is a good guess?
