Hello,
So I started growing about three moonflower seeds in a terracotta pot and they have sprouted and exposed their leaves. However I am concerned that they began to rot inside of the seed when they began to sprout, which is making them look like this:


I'm going to keep watering them and hope that they continue to grow. Any advice as to what may have happened or what I should do about it? Is there a way to encourage healthy growth at such an early stage?

I think it is fine. Those seed leaves are very crinkly and jammed together in the seed. They often get a little bit ripped in the process of trying to separate themselves (and almost always if you try to help them along by removing the seed capsule yourself ). They don't look rotted to me. Those are just seed leaves and the plant doesn't need them once it puts out true leaves. Don't do anything special, just keep taking ordinary care of it, with plenty of light and enough water, but not over- watered.
