I'm going to post this in my garden thread but thought I'd share here, too. There's some Love Lies Bleeding, butternut squash, a bunch of flowers I can't name, some geraniums, thai basil, and mint (might be hard to see, off to the left).
I just really like this assemblage at the edge of my raised bed.
I haven't been on my computer more than ten minutes in three weeks, and I think I forgot how to type...

This is pretty simple and still not fully developed compared to the gorgeous examples that have been posted here, but this was my first time growing petunias from seeds and I'm liking the effect of the combination with Firetail chenille and the honeyvine milkweed growing on the trellis.
(...wow I should scrub that arch trellis... )

I was sipping coffee on my deck this morning and looked at my yearly annual planter . I put color in this every year for the deck . It is an old fountain that got cracked and leaky from freezing the first winter So It now is used as a planter .
This years combination Is the best ever , Viola's , Snapdragons , Marigolds and Impatiens have just made a wonderful blend that dazzles !!

That was a great idea to repurpose your fountain/container. Looking great!
I'm afraid I won't be planting much annuals this year -- got WAY caught up with starting seeds of tomatoes and peppers and eggplants, too. Somehow didn't get around to starting flower seeds -- not even marigolds So I will be enjoying the color show vicariously -- looking forward to seeing everyone's pictures
I'll post pics of my container vegs later on when they are a bit more attractive.

Thanks ! I have become pretty good with image editors and now make a habit of sampling a color from the image to use as a border , with flowers I take the Brightest , boldest colorrainbowgardener wrote:Beautiful! I love the combination of the weathered wood and the colorful flowers.

Very nice! I keep losing my bleeding heart. I guess I still haven't found the ideal spot for them. I have the wilder native kind but the cute heart-shaped one didn't come up yet again this spring.
Here's may strawberry jar. I keep trying something different -- this year, I planted the lettuce and rocket on the NE side, and put French thyme, marjoram, oregano, Aztech broccoli (a lambs quarters relative) on the sunny hot side. I was waiting to see if the Greek oregano that grew on the top last year would come back but it's looking really wimpy (those are mostly weeds), so I think I'll dig all that out and try planting one or two of the Alpine strawberry seedlings that I started this winter.

Very nice! I need to explore more container growing. I gave up on it years ago, but am slowly coming around to the idea after finding ways to make watering them easier.
I do like having some containers on the back patio off the kitchen so I could dash out and pick an ingredient when needed. Here's my windowbox of salad fixin's

I do love my containers. The tomatoes and Swiss Chard I love to eat, but most of my containers are flowers. Sometimes I like to take an unusual container and plant it with flowers.
This grill belonged to my Mother-in-law. I plant it with something different evey year.
This year I have a red/yellow theme

An old wheelbarrow with flat tires and holes in it...perfect for drainage!

I always enjoy seeing other gardeners containers. This year has been very wet here, so I wasn't as wowed with how my containers did as I was last year. Actually I wasn't impressed much at all with my garden this year. Some individual containers were great but put all together...not so much.
Some of the good ones
