yucca stem going soft

help! My Indoor yucca plant has been growning for years and years with no problems. I've even removed shoots from the top of the plant to start new ones in soil or water. This morning I realized the 2 highest stems off of the main trunk was wrinkly, soft and mushy. It's soft to a point the longer of the 2 is leaning side ways.

Is there any hope to save them? Although there are new shoots starting close to the soil line, I don't want to end up with a bare trunk if I lose the 2 shoots up top. Your help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm happy to update that this plant has recovered as soon as I moved it outdoors. Stems turned hard again. It's really amazing.
