Hello there everyone,
I,m new to the Forum and found it very interesting to hear about how to care for the aloe plants of which I recently got one.
I also have a new Mother in Laws tongue which so far looks very happy in my ver y sunny south facing room. However I now think that the watering of these plants is more sensitive than I realized and would b
e glad to have some advice BEFORE any problems start. This plant is in a
12 inch stone pot at the moment.
Hi Netts,
I love the fact you are getting more plants. I've found it's best to let mine get bone dry before I water. If you keep it in a south facing window you might be surprised with a bloom. I've had that happen to me.
These are tough plants and that's tough with a capital 'T'. My mother had one that she decided she didn't like when I was a kid. She put it in the cellar, yeah, dirt floor and all, in the dark and left it there for a year. She never watered it and it looked fine when I brought it back into the house a year later.
