Question about trough containers

What are some veggies and herbs that grow well in them? I found a great deal on some that would fit perfect on my balcony railing. I'm just not sure what to put in them. Thanks in advance.

Most herbs would probably do okay. The containers you speak of usually aren't deep enough to provide for the root system of a large plant, such as a tomato. Greens, short radishes, and short carrots should do ok though. To be more exact, it would be necessary to know the width, length, and depth of your containers.

Hey thanks for the comment. I'm going to buy a couple tomorrow (measure them) and then post the dimensions. Take care.
