dormant Amaryllis

Could these Amaryllis bulbs be dormant? They are not doing anything, I thought that when I warmed up the soil it would do something. Maybe I have to have the heat on the bottoms all the time, is that right? Should I check and see if they are developing roots? If they are, then that is promising. Patience is not one of my virtues.;) :?

I gave the amaryllis just a litle water and set them in the window, it is supposed to be sunny and warm today, will that help them to start growing a little faster?

I am going to try to post a picture on here with the size of my Amaryllis bulb, I already have a picture so I don't have to take any out of the soil. 8) I don't know how I did that so will have to figure it out.
