I have lavender, basil, chives, garlic chives and chili peppers (although the chilli peppers are almost done and will probably just let them die soon.)

At what temperatures should I bring them in?

There are different varieties of lavender. The English lavenders (lavandula angustifolia) is quite cold hardy. I leave mine out all winter and we get temps below zero (F) some of the time. Mine is in the ground, which is more protected than in pots, but even in pots it will be ok if you can give it some protection and/or your winters aren't too harsh and windy. And the cold hardy lavender benefits from some cold dormancy, will not do as well in a warm house. But other lavenders (e.g. French and Spanish) are not as cold hardy and would need to come in.

I would bring the basil in once your night time temps are getting down to about 50 (F).

I don't grow the chives, but I think they are pretty cold hardy too.

I don't know what kind of lavender I have. Is there a way to tell?
