is it because I cut it? it was a tall stalk that I bought seperately and I cut it to make it shorter and now its yellowing after a few weeks...I thought that it would re grow or is it something else?... is there something else I'm supposed to do

In my experience when the stalk start to turn in most cases its about to die, I would kept an eye on it and if the stalk gets really soft I would remove it from the others so they don't die as well. Oddly enough I too bought bamboo and put it together with bamboo I had already and it too died. Wierd. Good luck!
