Indoor Palm: Lighting

Hello,
Is it ok if an indoor palm receives afternoon direct sunlight (not exceeding 3 hours)? I'm concerned because the fronds are developing yellow patches..

Sunburn would usually turn brown I think.

How are you watering it & what kind of soil is it in?

I'm watering it once the first 2 inches get dry because its cloudy these days.. for soil, potting soil mixed with some organics..
