What is this crazy grass with purple flowers?

Just located this site...I believe that I will find it very useful in the future. I had to retire and I have alot of time on my hands. So, I started tinkering with my yard...but more on that later. for now...

I need help in identifying this plant or weed. It looks like some sort of a grass, but discombobulated. It has very small clumps of flower buds attached to curly very short stems. The buds bloom every morning and close up in the afternoon. The color of the flower is a bluish purple. I would include a picture but I can't figure out how... Thanks for your time.

That's a Tradescantia spp. Maybe T. ohiensis. People usually treat it as a weed, but I have a couple of places where I intentionally grow it.

Thanks again for you assistance.

Not a weed for me. Keep it moist and it could continue to bloom most of summer.
