Ceramic Pots in front of house - What to plant??

:D
Hello,
I'm posting a picture of two pots that we bought for our front house. Whe have planted many flowery plants in them and whatever we plant it just dies. They get full sun in the afternoon. What can I plant in them and could it be that I just don't water them because I rely onthe sprinkle system behind them?

I think you're probably right that it's lack of water. Unglazed ceramic and clay absorb quite a lot of water. I don't think the in-ground sprinklers would be sufficient.

I have to water even my plastic containers with the garden hose, in addition to the water the get from my irrigation system.

Perhaps you could check into plants that are recommended for xeriscaping in hot, dry areas. Some produce very pretty flowers. :)
