Hi,
I do not have the space to plant a dwarf lilac, but would love to have one. Have you heard of anyone having success with lilacs planted in containers?
Thanks.

Hi Nanette,
Can't say as I have. Even the new dwarf varieties get to be 4-5'; unless your talking about a pretty big container, I'd say forget the lilacs and find a plant more suitable for container gardening. If you are talking about a large container, look for dwarf varieties like 'Palabin', 'Tinkerbelle', or 'Fairy Dust'. (Think about making room in the garden for the full size models; late spring just isn't the same without lilacs...)
