Salsa garden

After a few years of gardening and finding out what I will actually eat and how much of it, I am exclusively doing a "salsa" garden this year in containers. My list thus far is 1 Roma tomato, 1 Better Boy tomato, 2 Jalepenos, 6 white onions, 1 bell pepper, and 1 cilantro.

Any advice or suggestions on different plants? I am trying to keep this simple and have less than 8 containers.

Basil! Oregano! They are easy to grow in containers and will be good in your salsa.

Maybe scrap the onions and add more better boy? Seems we are always short tomatoes. Onions tend to be cheap.

Romas?

2 tomato plants provide all I need, I chose a Roma since I love the flavor and use them for other dishes. I already have a packet of onion seeds so I may as well use them.

Salsa Garden,

Is this where you garden in skimpy clothing and have to be very flexible? :P

Where are the Tomatillos? I like green salsa.

I have thought about tomatillos, are they similar to tomatos in care?

I like my salsa hot, so aside from jalapenos, I like to put in habaneros. Hopefully this year, I'll get the ghost peppers to grow and I can try some salsa with that in it as well. Oh, I also like to put green onions in as well, since I don't much care for regular onions as well as some roasted garlic.

I also leave out the lime juice, if you put any in, don't put in a lot >.> You have pretty much all the ingredients to make salsa, and home made is the best I've ever had. ;d
