Growing Bunching Onions in RubberMaid (Part 2?)

Got my container now!
Q1. How would you drill drainage holes on bottom? How far apart?
Q2. How far apart for seeds?

Thanks!
Any other tips given will be taken!

I would drill the drainage holes with a power drill, spacing them about 3" to 6" apart, or whatever spacing works for the dimensions of the bottom of the box. I wouldn't space them more than 6" apart, though.

The spacing of the holes isn't critical. I wouldn't even bother measuring, just eyeball it. You just want to make sure there are sufficient holes to allow for good, even drainage.

I'd use about a 1/4 or 3/8 inch bit. You don't want to make the holes too big, or else you'll have to put something like a piece of non-metal window screen in the bottom to keep the soil from washing out when you water the plants.

Is there no planting information on the packet of seeds you bought? Usually they at least list how deep and how far apart to plant the seeds. :?
