My kids tried to kill my Elephant Ear

Hi everyone! Long story short, I was transporting my elephant ear to my new home, asked my teenagers if they brought everything in--of course they said they did but they left my plant in the car for 3 hours in 100+ heat. All of the leaves and most of the stems have turned black and withered. Will it come back from this or do you think I've lost it?

Thank you!

I doubt that 3 hours was enough time to cook the bulb. I would cut off all the leaves and wait for some new sprouts. What have you got to lose? Good luck!

That's kind of what I was thinking. I really hope the bulb's ok. I had let the dirt dry out a little so I could transport it, so there wasn't a lot protecting it. The pot is one of those lightweight styrofoams so maybe it was enough insulation.

Thanks microcollie! :)
