Hi!
So I want to get into container gardening, and I want to grow a plant on my windowsill. I want it to be a plant that I can harvest something from and that I won't kill too easily. Any suggestions??

Also, are there any books or websites or forum topics that somebody can point me to so that I can learn more about plant needs and what to do?
I'm very new at this!

Good choices for edible windowsill gardening are greens, lettuce, spinach, swiss chard, and herbs, including parsley, chives, oregano, thyme, basil.
