Does anyone know if you can plant wisteria in a large container, to grow up against a house?
I have just Wisteria 'formosa Issai-naga'. but have never grown wisteria before.
Many thanks.

I should think that you would be able to but, if the pot were to small, the plant wouldn't get very big.

I think it would be better to plant the tree directly into the ground, this way it has some buffering against winter and summer temperatures and will not dry out as quickly as it would in a pot in the summer. Less work for you and a greater chance of survival for the tree.
