Citrus Trees

I just got my Christmas gift from some friends...

I got a lemon tree and lime tree-- and I am tickled pink!....

But -- they are only hardy to zone 9-10 and I live in Georgia zone 7

one of them is in a gallon pot the other seems double the size.

--- What do I do with them? ---
I was told to keep them inside for now .. and that every year I would have to bring them inside for the winter.. I am ok with it .. but how big will they get.. will I be able to move them?!?!
Do I need to give them new post now? My "sunniest" window is sort of east facing -- gets some sun in the morning.

They said something about adding a fertilizer which will make them pollinate again in the spring as they will be confused due the heat in the house. Do you guys know anything about this? I am trying to go organic.

If these questions have been answered previously ..let me know and I will search the forum again.

Thanks,

Silvia

You can prune them to keep them small. Keep them inside during the winter in a south-facing window. During the summer keep them outside in full sun.

likewise, if you don't have a south window

Place them in the sunniest you have and consider adding artificial lighting to augment what natural light they receive.
