Location: North California "Zone 9"

do I need to get my plants indoors?

I live in Sacramento (north California) in zone 9...the temperatures will be around minimum 49'F in October & in November minimum temperature will be around 42'F (checked this on weather.com) I am new to California & also a new Gardner. I have few plants, pls let me know which ones I need to get indoors :

1. Pothos



2. Peace Lilly


3. Hibiscus(with many new leaves)

4. Wax begonia

Brief answer yes! Those are all warm weather, tropical type plants. The hibiscus is about the cold-hardiest, tolerating (though not thriving at) temps down to about 40 degrees (F). The rest really don't like temps much below 50. The green pepper will not set any fruit with night time temps below 60. But it likes full sun, so isn't going to set fruit indoors anyway unless you have a really intense light set up; you might need to just start over in the spring with the peppers. The pothos and peace lily especially are nice house plants that will do fine with whatever the ambient light is.
