Hi,
Went to Lake Tahoe, California and found these seeds early morning on my car. could someone help me identify what seeds are these...there were tall pine trees around and many more different kinds of trees so I dnt know to which tree these seeds belong. ALso what do I need to do to germinate them.
Thanks!

The short 'wing' indicates that they are from some type of conifer, but that's as close as I can get. Here are a couple images for comparison:

earth,
I agree that they are likely Pine seeds of some variety. Try to ID the Pines you suspect that they came from and you will probably be able to ID the seeds.
ALso what do I need to do to germinate them.
I have only germinated Pines once but I did not make any special efforts to stratify them. Keep them dry over the winter and plant them next spring and I believe you will have a pretty good success rate. It probably would not hurt to keep them cold in the meantime but I do not believe it to be necessary, at least with the species (Scots Pine) I tried.
