I have a couple pots of cosmos that I started from seed, and they are a really good size now and they will not bloom, maybe I am just too impatient.

I threw my seed packet away and can't remember the time line on cosmos.
The foliage on the plant is beautiful, can't wait till it blooms!! :?:

Do your plants have buds on them? I think you might be a bit early. I haven't planted cosmos for several years now, but as I recall, it blooms in the summertime. (Maybe it's already summer where you are, but I guarantee that summer hasn't arrived in Oregon yet! )

Hello! and thank you for your reply!
No they don't have any blooms yet but it should be soon, I am thinking that cosmos are late bloomers.
But I need to research them more to be sure.

I have never grown them before, I just wanted to try something different.
When and if they do bloom I will post pics.
Next year I am going to keep track of things better so I won't be wondering.
Thank you
Melissa :)

There are probably still seed packets for sale in the stores in your area. If you can find any for cosmos, you could just see if there is information about bloom time. :)

I figured it was just me being impatient!

In the past day or so they are really growing taller and like coming to a clump at the top, I can tell they are going to bloom before long.

I can't help the fact that I get so excited, I love to see the results of a plant or a flower that was started from seed.

My money plant is starting to come up. I have never grown this plant either and can't wait to see how it does!!!
Thank you for all your help!
Melissa
