It looks like some kind of a thistle to me. Here are links to a couple of images of thistle seedlings:

Bull thistle (Cirsium vulgare)

Canada thistle (Cirsium arvense)

Although most people probably consider thistles to be weeds, many people grow thistles for their beautiful flowers. Globe thistle is quite popular. Here is a link to an image:

Also, the thistle is a symbol of Scotland, and quite popular for that reason. Don't forget, too, that globe artichokes are thistles, and their seedlings look just like other thistle seedlings. :)

If you keep that darling be sure not to let it go to seed. ......thistles will self seed with wonderful vigor.

Winston Churchill loved thistles as they were favorite larval food for a butterfly he loved; he waged a decades long war with his gardener, reseeding them about the grounds on his strolls...

You can imagine a professional estate gardener's response to seeding weeds about the place, but the boss is Sir Winston bloody Churchill, so you can't say anything... It went on silently and unspoken for years! Hysterical! (His daughter Sarah told me this story when I did a cutting garden for her years ago...)
