I like the rocks and moss combination better, but this location is full sun, hot and dry and the pot tends to get root bound very quickly.

That plant has been container grown for at least ten or twelve years, but its size has maintain as is for the last several years. It seems to me that it took about four or five years for the plant to get decent size, however, it was pulled from the ground as a first year volunteer so was very small to start.
