growing onions indoors

Hello I'm Jenny :D I was wondering if anyone knows how long an onion seed takes to sprout in a peat cup indoors. Thank you for taking the time to help me. :P

Jennifer, onion seed are not quick to germinate; allow up to 25 days at a temperature of 60F.

Hi: Do you intend to place them outdoors later in the seaason?

It frequently depends on the variety, Jenny. I have planted four varieties of onion-types for the Spring, and all sprouted within 2 weeks. These were kept in a space that stays between 50 and 65 degrees under full spectrum plant lights.

I've tried direct sowing outdoors with rather poor results, so I'm quite pleased the lights worked this time around.
