tall container plants for entryway

Hi,
I am looking for suggestions on containers framing my entry. It is the northside of the house and does get a little evening light. I would like a tall plant (about 6 feet would be great) and I like something that stays green in winter. I have four containers with hydranges alongside the house. They have been doing well but look a little bare in the winter. I live in Seattle (mild and damp weather).
I would love something along the line of Wilma Goldcrest (cypress) but I think the spot is just too shady. Any tall shade-loving container- loving cypresses out there? Are there any fuschias that are a little bit more hardy and grow fairly tall?
I will entertain all thoughts
Thanks so much !!

Micki,
What about Trachelospernum jasminodes? I live in Vancouver, BC and when I was a landscape designer, I used it all the time in shady patio garden designs. Its hardy in our zone 8 climate and potted up in durable terra cotta or glazed pot does quite well in shade or sun. It has very fragrant paper-white flowers that are set off beautifully against its dark green glossy foliage. It is more bush -ike than vine-like and looks fabulous weaved through a decorative trellis. Hope that gives you an idea to try. Good luck!

How about a Fatsia japonica variegata or a sasanqua Camellia
