Three years ago, I planted about 6 raspberry bushes (in Iowa). They get approximately 3/4 sun and have grown and spread well. I crop them appropriately every year, and they develop lots of blossoms in the spring. However, they don't turn into berries. (new or old growth) . Is it the soil? Lack of cross pollination? Something else?
Thanks -GJ
Not sure if its like what others are experiencing with some plants but if you lack a bee population in your area then you could have a problem with pollination of the flowers.
Also not sure how long it takes raspberries to produce fruit but I know strawberries don't produce until the following year but I doubt that it takes more than that for raspberries.
