Are peach trees or apricot trees grown well in northern Indiana, zone 5?
I'm interested in a self pollinating fruit tree that also looks pretty for in my front yard... any suggestions appreciated! Would it work in an area that is only about 10 feet wide?
Thanks.

Red Haven is not quite as hardy as Reliance but it should be okay where you are. At least in New England it tends to be the best tasting cold hardy peach.
Please be aware that all peaches in the North are what a former employer of mine called "an up an' die species" meaning that they are short lived (15 - 20 years max) and prone to perish in a hurry when they go.
