something is TAKING my tomato plants

we recently planted tomatoes and they're growing great...but yesterday I went out to water and one of them was gone!!! the entire plant!!!!! not a leaf or fruit left!! and again today another plant is gone...mind you these plants have the tomato wires around them too!!! I don't know what it is or how to stop it! any knowledge or advice will be most appreciated!! hopefully I'll hear back before all my plants are gone!!! thanks!!!

That is unusual. Do you have any types of problems with ground moles by chance? That used to happen to me until I got a cat. those little creeps would eat the whole plant.

Moles are not herbivores, most species don't eat plants period and for the few that do it is a secondary part of their diet. They primarily eat arthropods and worms. None of them would eat an entire tomato plant. Perhaps you have mistaken something else such as a pocket gopher for a mole.
