Key Lime Tree is losing leaves and Limes

I recently purchased a Key Lime, a second Valencia orange, and a Glenn Mango Tree. The Valencia and Mango seem to be doing fine. The Key Lime on the other hand is not doing so great. When I purchased it, it was full of leaves and had around 60 baby limes growing. I planted the tree and watered it deeply that first day. I then watered it again one week later right before I left on vacation. When I returned from vacation...the tree had lost about 50% of it's leaves and all except a handful of limes! I've been back a little over a week now and have fertilized it,watered it once deeply, and another time yesterday on the leaves with some copper fungicide.

My question is why did the tree seem to get so weak? Lack of water? Too much water? Please help.

When I purchased it, you could not see through it. Here are some pics of the tree now.

I forgot to mention that I was gone for 7 days. During that time, no one tended to any of my plants. All plants were fine except for this Key Lime.
