Soil for blackberries
Do you need to put lime on blackberries to make them sweet?

Don't put lime on your blackberry bush/vine. Blackberries like acidic soil, and lime will do the opposite. You need to do a soil pH test first to see what your soil type is. There are kits available, but you can also do your own; google home soil pH testing. It's very easy to do yourself.
My soil is fairly neutral, so I had to add some vinegar mixed in a watering can to acidify the soil for the blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries.
