Dwarf Peach Trees Grown in Cordons With Success

Many years ago (at my age I always start talking that way) I had some success growing
a row of Peach trees in Cordon form. It looked like this.

I planted eight trees (should have been six) at a 45 degree angle

..I Selected branches to be trained to grow horizonally (similar to Italian grape Vines).
Within three years they began bearing beautiful fruit. My wife loved them. I had them
for about 20 years. In the Spring they looked beautiful and we always looked forward
to the fruit.

So did the squirrels ... but, that's another story. Suggest you
explore for more info on this style of growing fruit trees this way.
... I posted as a "Sticky" I hope it is OK?

Don't you just envy those who are so skillful? At least, this shows us how it can be done. ....

I've always thought that it would be interesting to do this. My favorite pattern is the Belgian Fence style:

It always seemed like it would be too much work ... but then, maybe not! :D

This one looked a little strange to me. But, then I was advised what kind of fruit it would bear.

Single tree .. controlled branches... heat off wall is helpful.
When it flowers it's beautiful... 8) ... 8)

Those are lovely! I bought 3 new dwarf apple trees and I believe we are going with this style with them. This should be interesting.

Oh my, I do like the appearance of that tree. Thank you for the idea, I just think the espaliered trees are so elegant looking. :)
