Infested Meyer Lemon Tree

Every year our lemon tree produces the most beautiful juicy lemons. This year it is producing, however, it the fruit has small insect encrusted on the skin. They still taste great, but look horrible. What should I do to remove these pests and can I spray while the tree is still loaded with fruit?

I'm not sure what they are, but I've heard of just spraying fruit down with soap and water to keep bugs from being able to stay on the fruit. And that the detergent will keep certain kinds of mold/bacterium off as well.

Anybody else know something?

I don't think I've ever gotten anything like that on my Meyer, but then again it hasn't even fruited yet.

What I have gotten are weevils, I've just been squishing them and I haven't seen them for a while.
