What's happening to my strawberry plant?

I planted this last year and we got a good number of strawberries. This year, it came back happy and had a few flowers but then they died and the little tiny strawberries never grew. What can I do?

Your plant is certainly struggling Rosie.
There could be a whole raft of things that could be the problem. From virus to root problems, or attacks from vine weevils etc.
It has got fresh young leaf appearing, so give it a little time and you may be ok. If not remove and replant into fresh soil.
I would add, it pays to buy only certified stock, and if possible 9-15 mm crowns. These will reward you with heavier and more reliable cropping.

Repot it. If there is white things on the roots it is probably a fungal disease. That is usually how mine end up. I have to repot them before it gets too far. I rinse of the strawberry in a fungicide. Make sure it is not too wet.
