peach vs. nectarine

Just found 6 seedlings in my compost pit. they are either peach or nectarine. is there any way to tell or do I get to play the waiting game to see? also, each pit had 2 seed growing... is that normal? I always thought one seed per pit.
thanks

No real difference between the seeds tt.
Don't forget that the seeds will each have two sprouting shoots ...the growing shoot and the sprouting root system.

Wow.....plant and let's see.
Should only be one root..one shoot .
The only exception that I know is when you get double seed casings. Sometimes you get twin seeds . I've often seen peach and almond twin fruits and then they give double seed pits.
Never heard of tbese being planted though.
Go for it ....
