Large Plum tree loosing its leaves

G'day,

I have a problem with my large plum (I think its a plum) tree loosing its foliage. It looks like its being eaten.

It is still spring time and my tree is already starting to loose foliage, has done so for the last 3-4 years that I recall. It flowers strongly at the start of spring, fruits (now) and something is killing of the leaves. Usually the eastern side goes first then the western side of the tree.

Below is a photo, I will take some more, other leaves go a opaque/translucest brown in spots which then appears to get eaten/fall out. By the middle of summer the tree looks very poor.

Hi huisty. This sounds like Shot Hole. It's a fungal disease that affects plum leaf in the spring and also late summer time. In other words like most fungus ..it likes it damp and warm.
Copper fungicides give some control. Bordeaux mixture etc. also Westland Plant Rescue Concentrate. But I don't know if you can get this in your neck of the woods. Check your local GC.

Feel sure it's Shot Hole hulsty, so coppers sprays are the only solution.
