Hi I'm new to this, I need some help with my plum tree, it has droped 75% of it's leaves. I've been watering it dayly for the last two weeks thinking it was starving for water. I live in Ottawa, Canada and it's been quite hot for the last few weeks with little rain. The tree was in full bloom in the early spring with new fruit coming along nicely. Then came a heat wave and the leaves started to turn yellow then they would fall quickly. Help anyone.

Hi Peter,
I realize it's been a long time since you posted this, but it sounds like you have been overwatering if your tree is planted in the ground. Signs of overwatering is the same as underwatering. Check to see your tree is planted at the proper depth and is properly mulched. Here's how to plant, mulch and water.
